The greed of wants can be overwhelming because wants are more exciting than needs so we tend to get distracted and forget our needs are what make life healthy, wants are just a bonus for hard work done right not suppose to be the normal healthy every day thing. Somewhat like the treat, it is only healthy if used as a treat and not the norm. What do we truly need in life? Water, food, shelter, purpose. Efficient, productive lives may not seem exciting in an overstimulated world but in reality they are so much more exciting and pleasurable in the long term. Fulfilling our needs give us true health and true enjoyment. Our instant gratification society is distorting our reality and making life meaningless. We need healthier options and the promotion of health not wealth.
Sloth is the lazy in us all that makes us want to sleep in when we should be up getting in a 30 minute workout to start the day off right. It can be easy in our world to just put something off since most of us are not going to die if we choose the easy way most of our lives. The sad thing is we effect quality of our lives to a point that our lazy becomes destructive to the point of having health issues that wreck way more than our waistlines and with the more socialism we have the more others bad habits effect our health and budget.
Wrath is so much easier than it should be. Anger is one of the most natural emotions that is suppressed and distorted to the point of insanity. Anger is healthy and needed sometimes but in our world it is distorted into rage far more often and is destructive to all. So many unhealthy people mixed with so many ways to abuse instead of help, is it truly any wonder why anger turns to rage and wrath so often in almost all societies? Remembering we are all humans and we all make mistakes and cause harm even when we truly are not trying can be difficult but not impossible. Pain is a human part of life and we are clumsy and harmful creatures it is part of learning and adapting to our environment. Learning to let go and get past the irrational part that anger can bring is much harder and takes practice but it is possible. Trying to put ourselves in others shoes does tend to help loosen the anger. We are not perfect and people ignoring human emotions they don't like doesn't make those emotions go away it just saves them for later. Being joyful all the time and restricting any "ugly" emotional growth stunts more and more people and it's not healthy.
Lust can be healthy until it is not. Lust can destroy so many things if focused in the wrong ways. People destroy so much for something that is never everlasting so it is typically regretful if it is on an empty basis. The moment of pleasure is never as pleasurable as love, real love and compassion in life.
Gluttony is a habit many of us are to easy to find ourselves in. Things are way more abundant so getting over than needed is a habit most of us seem to always find ourselves in. Learning to appreciate less is a healthier way to live yet it is not as easy as it sounds in the land of abundance and promotion of abundance as happiness but true happiness is actually appreciating things that are priceless like spending time with loved ones.
Envy, Plenty of people hate others and wish they could take their place they want others lives. Wishing to be better at something takes practice and ability so focusing on what someone else can do distracts us from what needs done. Be the best you.
Pride, this can be so tricky since having self confidence is healthy but it's a fine line sometimes so staying humble is remembering everybody poops and yep it all sticks :) Be humble and kind and do unto others as you wish to have done to you.
Thank you for your time.
